Mark and Mikey's first trip to the State Fair

We went to the State fair last Saturday and didn't get many pictures. Mikey did however get sunburnt on his cheeks. I got one picture of him on his first fair ride. "The Teacup" ride.

As you can see he wasn't really that interested. Here's a photo of him chilling the day after. I tried to show his sunburn but it didn't really show up.

Brothers

What a long day.

We were tiding up the back garden and brought Mikey out in his bouncer but I guess it must have got to tiring for him as he fell asleep.

But after a quick power nap he was raring to go again so while cooking dinner daddy gave him the spatula to help out :-)

Catching up

Hey Folks, Hope all is well with everyone. As I haven't posted in a while just thought I'd drop a few lines to let you know what's going on. September wasn't very busy. Mark spent some time out of town in England and Matt, Mikey and I hung out here in sunny NC.

Raleigh host some free concerts downtown so we went with some friends to the last one of the summer. It was incredibly crowded so we couldn't get to the stage. But the music was OK. Here's some pics: -

Mikey and Matt went to their first college football game. (That's American Football) It was at Duke University. They were playing James Mason University in their first game of the season. Duke are known for being not very good and this time they actually won. Here's some pics of that: -

Then Mark, Mikey, Matt and I went to the last Durham Bulls Baseball game of the season. They needed to win to stay in the series and play again for the Governors cup. The weather was good but unfortunately the baseball was bad. They didn't just lose they got absolutely hammered. They lost 20 to 2. Here's some pics:-

Check out this thing I created its awsome!!! by Mattie

Get a Voki now!

Mikey's 2 month Dr's appointment

Forgot to mention that Mikey had his 2 month Dr's check up when we got back from England. He's certainly a healthy baby. He's was 13lbs and 13ozs so I'm pretty sure he's now about 14lbs. He was 90% for his weight, 97% for his height and still 75% for his head size.

They have a large mirror where they exam the children that keeps them amused so I took this pic of him looking at himself. I think it's kewl.

Review of July 2008

Hey folks, how are things. My how time has flown, we have started August already and we didn't even put an update to the blog about July so here's what happened last month. We started off the month in the UK where we visited family both up North and in Brum. We also managed to visit Scarborough for some classic seaside fish and chips and stopped for a beer in Hutten le Hole on the North Yorkshire Moors. Here's some collages to look at.

This is sunny Scarborough.

Here's Hutten le Hole, as you can see it's all happening here!

Here's the family.

After getting back from England Mark and Matt went to Aruba for a few days to do some father son bonding before Matt went back to school to start in the 7th grade. Here's a video of their photo's to look at: -

To finish the month off we had Matthew's 12th birthday. We went midnite bowling with his friends and came back to play Rockband on the PS2 that he got for his birthday. He did really well for his birthday this year he got presents galore and a ton of money from family and friends. Here's a collage of him with his friends at the house playing Rockband. Unfortunately I didn't bring the camera with me to bowling so I don't have any pictures of that. What kind of a mother am I?

Matt's birthday bash!

Michael's getting bigger and before leaving to go back to the UK to work Mark spent some time just hanging out with him.

And finally here's a couple of photo's of Mark and Sandie sleeping with Michael's teddy bear.

He likes to share :-)

Catch you later, Mezza out!

Lets play ball.

Howdy y'all,

It's babseball season again so we decided to spend an evening watching the local babseball team "The Durham Bulls". It was Michaels first baseball game and as the weather was good we sat on the lawn section with him and Mattie. They have renovated the grounds since last season so the ball park is looking a lot nicer. Here's some pics...

Here's the boys enjoying the most important part of going to a game. The food and drink!!

Mattie makes a movie and drums

This is Mattie posting. It is quite late here in NC but I have just finished making a claymation movie!!! It is made with just one piece of clay that shape shifts and interacts with something. You will have to see it to find out what happens, it is about 20 seconds long. Please post and say whether it is good or bad, remember it is the first time I have tried. I am going to do numerous claymation movies over my summer break because today I went out and got lots of clay and arts and crafts stuff. I may or may not post them depending on how big they are.

In other new I just got some new cymbals to add to my drum set which is pretty sweet. We have formed a band and our band name is called m&m (squared). We are going to have our first gig at our house on September 20. I will try to get somebody to record it so we can put it on our blog. I will be also be going back to England for another visit soon (yay). See you next time!!

Look at how much Mikey has grown

Mikey is now a month old and he has grown quite a lot. He is now 11lbs and is 23inch tall. He still doesn't do much apart from eat, sleep poop, pee and cry. Pretty much in that order. Here's some pics to look at.

Welcome to Michael Bennett

Mezza went into labor on Saturday afternoon and gave birth to Michael at 3.20am on Sunday May 4, 2008. He was 8lbs 8oz and 20 inches long and boy could he scream. We had hoped to be going home from the hospital on Monday but he developed jaudice so we are still here. We hope to go home tomorrow or Wednesday. Michael looks very much like Mattie when he was first born. His middle name is Patrick. Markey and Mattie have been visiting with Mezza and Michael to keep them company while in the hospital. Check out the photo's below.

This last photo is when he is under the light to help clear his jaudice. Check out the eye shade! Bye for now.

Watch out - Mattie's a red belt in TKD now!!

Back again, just wanted to let people know that Mattie is still doing his TKD and to congratulate him as he recently passed his test to become a red belt. He has 3 more test to take and then he has 6 months training to before he takes his black belt test where as part of the test he will have to break wooden boards. I guess me and Markey will have to watch out when he becomes a black belt. We had better not step out of line :-) Here's some photo's of him getting his belt and his certificate.
Once again Congratulations Mattie!!! Mezza out!

Preview of Baby Bennett!

Hey all, only 3 weeks to go so I thought we'd get an introduction to the new arrival by putting up the ultra sound pictures we have. I'm definitely getting bigger now so I'm quite looking forward to giving birth. Especially as I'll get maternity leave. Albeit with a crying baby.
So this is the first scan that we had.

This is the second one: -

And this is the last one where we found out it was a boy!

Of course when he arrives we'll put some pictures up. That's it for now take care. Mezza out!!

Baby Shower 08!

So whats been happening lately? It's getting very close to the due date so some friends organized a baby shower for us. It was really good. We ate, drank and had fun hanging out. We also got lots of gifts for the baby. I do recommend it!! It definitely helped out out with getting things for the baby. I'd like to thank Travis who took some photo's for us. I was then able to make a movie to upload to the blog so you can see how it went. Catch U l8rzz, Mezza Out!

A trip down memory lane.

Now that I'm pregnant it has brought back happy feelings of when Mattie was born so we decided to digitize (not sure if thats even a word) our old pictures. I found some of Mattie when he was younger and made them into a short movie so we could all enjoy "Mattie in his younger years. A trip down memory lane" Hope you enjoy it.

Mattie on stage in Florida

I forgot to mention when we were in Florida watching a live band play at Jimmy Buffet's Margarettaville, during the intersession Mark and Matt were talking to the drummer who invited Matt to come on stage after the set so he could show him the drums. Matt was obviously stoked as this set is way bigger than the one we have at the house. He was a bit nervous as people were watching him get on stage but he did and the drummer gave him some good tips. I only had the camera that was on my phone with me but here's a couple of pictures of him up there.

Who knows in a few years we may be seeing him on stage a lot more :-) That's it for now, Mezza out!
