The countdown is on!

Yes it sure is. The countdown to what I hear some say. It's the countdown to our holiday in Hawaii. We leave Wednesday June 13, 2007 for 2 weeks. (Next Week!!) We have our accommodation sorted, the flights are sorted and we have our snorkeling gear sorted. What more could you ask for. I'm sure we'll miss the dogs but Ty will be looking after them for us so thanks Ty.

So what's been going in here in the past month. We actually had a busy May. We went to the Durham Bulls for a surprise birthday party which was really good. It was quite possibly the first time I had ever seen the birthday boy Chris speechless. He didn't have a clue that it was going to happen so that was kewl. I went to my 3rd ever baby shower for baby Fisher who's due to arrive July 4, 2007. (A baby shower for you English folk is where you get together prior to the baby being born and shower the expectant mother with gifts etc.) This had a new idea to me in that instead of giving a card for the baby they asked to give baby books with some words written by you. That way when it's read to the baby there is more meaning than just a card. I thought that was a neat idea.

We had some guests come to the house. We had Brad from Australia stay with us, he is one of Marks friends. He was visiting the East Coast of the US and thought that this was probably going to be the closest time he would get to visit Mark so he dropped in. It was nice to meet him. We then had Will and Steve visit with us so we had a cook out on the back deck and drank some beers that weekend. Then this weekend coming we are having another Aussie stay with us. Again a friend of Marks and we will be taking him to a cook out over at the Fishers house which should be fun and will involve some "beer pong" or so I'm told.

Matt passed his Tae Kwon Do test and is now a blue belt with a double red strip and he did really well in the test. He also graduated 5th grade and is leaving Elementary school and will be heading to Middle school in July when the new year starts. He's nervous but also looking forward to it.

We are all pretty excited about Hawaii though; so here's to taking lots of pictures to put on here. We bought a disposable under water camera for when we go snorkeling so hopefully we will get some good pictures.

For now I'm signing off. I hope you all have a great day and remember the words of Thomas Edison: Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

Mezza out!!
