The past month
I always say I'm going to put up some photo's but I never do. We had the ultrasound but the pics never made it here either. We even got them to put them on CD for us so they could go on here but twas not to be. Here's what we did in November in photo form and I even added a short video taken by our new Kodak camera. Hope you like it.

Finally the leaves are starting to change color so here's a nice shot of our cul de sac with the different color trees.
I've been feeling a bit under the weather with this pregnancy so Mark and Matt took me camping in the FunFinder to a Campsite not far from Fayetteville. It wasn't too far but it was nice to get away for a change. We had a patio with a fire pit so we lit a fire in the evening and the dogs had a fenced in area where they could run around without being on the leash. It was a fun weekend.

It was Thanksgiving so we had the traditional Turkey dinner, here's Mark preparing the Turkey right now. at least that's what I think he is doing!
We put up our Christmas lights. (If you think this is bad I had to stop Mark from buying an 8 foot inflatable snow globe.) Yup that's the FunFinder on the drive we were preparing it for a day of tailgating at the NC State v Maryland Game - See below.
The NC State Maryland Footie game - bad day for State though, take a look at the scoreboard.

It was a cold day to watch the footie but we had a good time tailgating while we were there.
Yes that's Markey B in the orange coat!!
My Mate Rich came over and here's a photo of us on a stuffed reindeer - are we looking forward to Christmas or what?
Thats all for now, see ya soon.

Guitar stuff
Hey everybody Mattie here, sorry about not posting for a while, so i'd just like to do a post about ...... ME GETTING A GUITAR AND ACCESSORIES!!!!! :-D Here I only have my pick and guitar but my friend gave me this thing called the digitech rp 2000 and I could go on forever about this thing its so awesome but I'd rather not. I will just say that it has the ability to change the effects of the guitar and the tone and stuff. Also I got a microphone so that's pretty cool too and I am now writing a song( with guitar, not lyrics) so I will try to post the song on here sometime.
I just got back from 2nd quarter break from school and I got all A's on my report card so I am happy about that and also........ IN TAE-KWON-DOE I have became a triple red stripe!!! YAY!!! ;-D . The last thing I want to say is that Halloween is just around the corner and I STILL don't know what I am going to be so that's it.... BYE ;-)

Catching up!
Hey folks, wow its really been a while. Didn't realize it was so long until I just looked at the last posted blog date. So what been happening I hear you say? Well quite a bit as it happens. In the last 2 months, I've been to England and back, Mark has travelled to 4 different countries in 3 weeks. We went to a Nascar race, bought a travel trailer (The FunFinder 240X), went to the beach with the Funfinder to go on a friends boat. Got my phone and my camera wet on the aforementioned boat which lead to the purchase of my really kewl IPhone and we found out that I'm pregnant. So we are all pretty excited. About the pregnancy not the IPhone, although I have to admit I do love it. I will put some of the ultrasound photo's up but I'm going to wait until my next ultrasound to do it. I'm hoping to put a medley of photo's up in the next couple of days so stay tuned. Hope all is well. Mezza out!

Sandie hits the lake
Well Sandie has now fully recovered from her snake bite (See blog Thursday July 19, 2007) so we decided to take her on the boat with us so she could have a swim in the lake and by jove did she swim. We struggled to keep her out of the water! As it's quite difficult for her to get back on the boat we put on her doggie life vest which has a handle on so you can easily pick her out of the water. Below is a pic of her swimming next to Mark As you can see she fully enjoyed herself and was very tired the next day. Lucy our other dog came with us but didn't really like the whoile jumping of the boat bit. She much preferred to run around on the beach when we pulled up for some food. I can't say I blame her. Still a good time was had by all. That's it for now as always...Mezza out!

Are you ready to sing?
Well last Saturday I was. It's a good job we live in a detached house as the sound coming from the karaoke mike last Saturday was loud. It was certainly fun though as Kevin P and Mark played their guitars too. We will most certainly have to do it again. Instead of putting on lots of photo's I thought I would do something different and put on a photo collage. Hope all is well out there. For now...Mezza is out!

Happy Birthday Mattie.
Mattie has now turned 11 and he had a very good birthday. Thanks to all who sent cards and presents, he does appreciate it even though he might not say it! As his birthday was on a Thursday and he was back at school we had his party on the following Saturday. His party was a day on the lake tubing and swimming with 5 of his closest friends. We also pulled up to the beach where we cooked burgers and hot dogs and played a little soccer before it started to thunder. At that point though it was time to come home anyway and eat his ice cream birthday cake.
What did he get for his birthday? The answer to that is Guitar hero 2 for the Play Station II and below is a photo's of Mattie and Daddy enjoying that birthday gift. He also got gift cards and money from friends and relatives and a renewed subscription to Kids National Geographic from Grandad which he absolutely loves. As he is a big Harry Potter fan he also got the 7th and final Harry Potter book which he is still reading.
I unfortunately didn't get photo's of him and his friends for his birthday as our brand new camera ran out of batteries. Quite annoying really as it doesn't have a battery meter and I was wondering how long the battery would last. I guess I should have just charged it anyway. I'll know for future reference.

Sandie versus a snake
Sandie is our youngest black lab and very inquisitive so we were surprised to find that when we got home 2 weeks ago last Sunday, after a day out Sandie was not feeling the best. Here's a photo of her having fun.

She was fine originally but then she started breathing heavy and her face started to swell. At first we thought it was a hornet sting but it wouldn't stop swelling and it was very painful for her so we took her to the emergency vet (Sunday nite pricing.) who confirmed it was a snake bite and gave her some medication. It has been nearly two weeks now and she's doing better. Here's her picture after the bite.

I don't think she will be messing with a snake again. The first time she went out into the garden after the bite she was sniffing a flower and the wind blew it. She jumped. I guess we now have to watch out for snakes too.

Hawaii Pics
Sorry its taken so long to get these on here. We took a lot of photo's and I've been struggling with which ones to put on and then I thought what the heck just get them up there. So here goes.
Here's some of the many beaches we were on.

Here's some of the larger waves heading towards Mattie.

Here's another wave trying to take out Markey.

Here's some dancers from the Polynesian Cultural Center we visited.

Instead of spending all the time on the beach we went for a hike to see Waimaia Falls and while we were there we spotted the endangered Moorhen. There are only 500 hundred left in the world and five of them were here. Here's one.

Here's part of the hike (Whoever heard of a paved hike?)

Here's an old Hawai'ian dwelling.

And here's the part of the hike that Markey liked.

The end result was the Waimaia falls. Here's Mattie with his friend Dante.

It was pretty but we were expecting something a lot different so on the 2nd week we went to see some other falls and they were much more impressive.

We had to go through a rain forest to get to them which was also pretty kewl. This was a better hike but we still had the pavement.

That's all for today but I'll post some more soon of the volcano we walked across and some of the world class telescopes we saw at 14,000 feet on top of the worlds largest mountain.
